We cleaned a rat infested hot tub in Napa!

This job was really gross but we powered through it. This was our first hot tub rodent exclusion and cleaning job and it turned out great.

The customer thought a rat might be getting under his hot tub but wasn’t sure and called us out. We opened a panel and noticed really heavy activity and two different entry points.

For the job we opened all the panels, installed metal lips at the bottom to prevent future access, bleached, vacuumed and even cleaned the pipes. We ended up with two large garbage bags full of rat feces and chewed up insulation!

The customer was super relieved at the end and said the rodent smell (which was extremely heavy after we opened up the panels) kept popping up He thought it may be the filters so he kept replacing them and cleaning/chlorinating the water but that smell kept coming back. Once we opened the panels and explained the smell was from rodents he connected the dots and realized he was selling that the whole time.
